I arranged this with players in mind that are either currently studying, or already have a basic understanding of major and minor chord construction and triad inversions. Both of which are topics I make a priority to cover with students thoroughly outside of their more standard piano book courses, mainly by focusing on playing songs “off the radio”. (Or I’ll say Spotify if I don’t want to sound old)
While I have several examples like this one I use while giving lessons, I encourage my students to request songs of their own choice that I can then help demonstrate how to go about learning, or arranging all types of songs, with only a small amount of music theory needed.
